Apple, Passion Fruit, and Mango Compote

  • ๐Ÿ 4 apples, peeled, cored, and quartered
  • ๐ŸŒด 6 passion fruits
  • ๐Ÿ‹ Juice of 1 lemon
  • ๐Ÿฌ 80 g granulated sugar
  • ๐Ÿ’ง 10 cl passion fruit juice
  • ๐Ÿฅญ 2 mangoes, peeled and diced
  • ๐ŸŒฟ A few mint leaves for garnish

๐Ÿ“‹ Directions:

  1. ๐Ÿ Cook the Apples: In a saucepan, combine the apple quarters, 2 tablespoons of water, lemon juice, and sugar. Cook over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. ๐ŸŒด Add Passion Fruit: Scoop out the pulp from the passion fruits and add it to the apple mixture along with the passion fruit juice. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  3. ๐ŸŒ€ Blend and Cool: Pass the mixture through a food mill or blend it until smooth. Allow the compote to cool in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  4. ๐Ÿฅญ Prepare the Mangoes: Peel the mangoes and cut them into small cubes.
  5. โ„๏ธ Serve: Divide the chilled compote into serving bowls. Top each with mango cubes in the center and garnish with fresh mint leaves. Serve well-chilled.
